Americana VOD is a joint venture by two media entrepreneurs. West Coast based writer/director/producer Sid Kali is known for creating quality entertainment with a target audience in mind. Currently, his movies are being distributed domestically and internationally. His video programming is being shown by cable/satellite providers on Pay-Per-View (PPV) and Video-On-Demand (VOD), including Rogers Communications Canada’s largest cable services provider, whose territory covers approximately 3.5 million homes in Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. Starting in January 2010, they will be available through Comcast which has 24 million subscribers.

Sid Kali is the author of “The First Movie Is The Toughest: A Filmmaker’s Story Of How It Was Done”. It’s packed with no nonsense advice and entertaining stories about making movies outside of Hollywood on limited budgets. There are other books on making movies, but not many are as truly personal, entertaining and informative as this one!

East Coast based Tim Beachum got his industry start in music and marketing. Next he decided to launch one of the first hip hop news websites Jackin4Beats.com It became a hit with Internet subscribers for breaking the latest hip hop news and getting indie music artists featured on movie soundtracks giving their careers a media boost. From there, Tim moved into the movie business as a producer, editor, and actor. His most recent work can be seen in the movies Consignment and In With Thieves.

Americana VOD intern Chris Black is a talented graphic artist, football (futbol) player, and aspiring video game designer. He has moxie and enthusiasm for the entertainment industry.
